yo guess what?? i just got an assignment over by kiichpan i'm headed over there now let's get something to eat when i get there! i haven't tried their food yet it's probably not as gross as tikal's i bet you found all kinds of weird stuff to eat already though
[Ordinarily, Dohalim would welcome such a visit. Would even be thrilled at the fact Law is the one suggesting it, and seems interested in seeing him.
Today is no ordinary day. For his poetry was rejected, ego smashed, and pride wounded. The critiques of every nay-sayer were painful, but Law's words cut the deepest of all.]
hey Dohalim, it's Dusty. I'm gonna be in Kiichpan in a day or so, where should we meet up? also maybe you should tell me what you look like so I can find you!
I think it would be wise to meet in the market, then we may procure any last minute ingredients necessary.
For identification... I am tall, my hair is crimson, and my skin a light bronze. I wear the traditional attire of Il Qaras. I have been told my appearance is agreeable to most eyes.
that makes total sense! I wanna make you the best food I can.
you sound like you stand out in a crowd, I'm sure I'll find you. as for me, I'm pretty tall too, and I have curly blond hair that's shaved at the side, blue eyes, tan skin, and I'll be wearing a sweater and a backpack
[ Now that the world's not on fire and she's not on fire, time to make good on checking in. Especially with those who knew she was here before before. ]
[ He'd gotten the message halfway through his work in the lodge. A simple 'Can we talk, and Zephyr had let the other Salamanders know that he had to go after lending a hand in repotting some of the larger plants they'd been studying. Five, ten minutes later - just long enough to scrub the dirt from his hands and out from under his nails - and he was standing at the door to his home. Dohalim's home.
Their home.
A long time ago those three words would've eaten away at him from the inside out, back when he was young. Now? Not so much. Of course there had been some fear and trepidation, but he wasn't a nervous sixteen year old boy anymore. There was no reason to be afraid of words, not when he'd taken worse blows to the back or worse.
Taking a slow breath, Zephyr counts back from ten. When he reaches two, he nudges open the door and steps inside, drops his bag to the chair near the door, and tilts his head towards the table near the center of the room. ]
[Zephyr's request is met with a mysterious silence.
At first, nothing in their home appears amiss. The furniture is where it should be, there is no sign of forced entry, but the living room is empty. Dohalim is not where he said he would be, and the only hint as to his whereabouts is... a trail of discarded clothing leading towards their bathroom.
There are other small details something isn't quite 'right'. Lit candles on every surface. The distinct scent of honey and rosewater. Their empty bed strewn with rose petals, from a plant Dohalim keeps on their small terrace.
All is explained when the door to the bathroom creaks open, and the lord himself, glistening with rose-oil in the candlelight wearing little more than a wrap of white silk so sheer the fabric does little to hide the dark skin beneath it. If anything, it highlights every edge and curve of Dohalim's body.
One hand on the doorframe, the other on his (very) long bare leg outstretched in front of him, the Lord's eyes are lined for the gods, red curls perfectly arranged around his face. Which is tilted at just the right angle to show off the length of his bare neck and sharp line of his jaw.
How long has Dohalim spent crafting this perfect image for Zephyr's eyes to feast upon? All day, with a week or so of planning. There are few people trained in the art of mani-pedis in Copalli.]
Welcome home. Talking can come after. First, I intend to render you speechless.

You found it? I'm amazed! How wonderful.
Would you prefer to meet in public or private? I do have a home here, and I could make you dinner as promised.
